Please read this...
This is a picture of Baby, or Pal as my mom calls her. Our golden labrador retriever who died last 2003. I grew up with Baby...When my mom called me to tell me that she had to put Baby to sleep, i couldnt believe my ears. Mom was almost in tears. Baby have been quite obese because of the food she eats, the leftovers (do not feed your dog leftovers...it will get to them.) When i went to visit her in New Zealand, she was old, about 9 and already, her legs had joint problems. I would take her out to walk and her leg would start spasming. I wish i could help her...but i couldnt. Even then, her face, although painful, she still forced herself to stand up and tried to walk home beside me. She was put to sleep 2 days after i left. Severe liver problem. Apparantly, her liver was really toxicated, way above average, a few hundreds above. The vet said that dogs will never show a sign of pain until they really couldnt handle it anymore. And i guess, Baby just couldnt handle it anymore...she collapsed and my mom had no choice but to end her suffering. This makes me think, animals really do care about you...she let me see her one last time... i can still remember the day i left, i went to her and told her to wait for me till the next time i visit, patted her head, and her eyes were gazing up at me, with sorrow. About the picture: Was taken in the big farm yard connected to our backyard. (We dont own the farm yard, they have cows on there during the day.)
